World Book Day Quiz

Secondary 1 and 2 pupils took part in the first ever World Book Day Quiz on Thursday 3rd March competing against thirteen other schools in Perth and Kinross. The event took place in North Inch Community Library and in other Authority libraries. It was transmitted live through a Glow Meet session. The teams tackled some tricky questions such as ‘Guess the character’ from picture clues and ‘What’s the title?’ from images of book covers with no writing. They certainly did us proud. A huge thank you goes to: Rosa Alexander, Calum McKenzie, Liam Marlborough, David Morgan, Lewis Massie, Ruaridh Neil, Lauren Summers and Lorraine MacKenzie.

Debating Notice for Monday 21 Feb

The next round of the East of Scotland Debating Competition takes place on Monday February 21 in the Lecture Theatre at 7.00om – 9pm.

The motion is This House Would Ban Advertising Aimed at Children.

St John’s Academy D team: James O’Donnell and Anna Durkin are speaking for the motion.

St John’s Academy B team:  Murphy Robertson and Zap Paderog are 2nd Opposition.

All those interested are welcome. Admission free! Refreshments provided. Please come and support your teams.
