The objectives of the Parent Council are:

  • to promote partnership between the school, its pupils, all parents/ carers, the Catholic Church and Education and Children’s Services to enable all pupils to develop their full potential so that their lifelong activities are guided by the Holy Spirit and presence of Christ in the service of God and others in line with our school aims;
  • to work in partnership with the school to create a welcoming community which is inclusive of all;
  • to develop and engage in activities which support the education and welfare of all pupils;
  • to identify and represent the views of parents on the education provided by the school and other matters affecting the education and welfare of the pupils;
  • to work in partnership with councils of associated schools.

St John's Academy Parent Council welcomes you!

We warmly welcome parents to our informal meetings; the next meeting is on Tuesday 9 March, 2010 at 7.00pm in the Staff Room at St Johns Academy (Secondary).   Parents are also invited to take part in the smaller sub-groups, for example, Communications, Fundraising, Culture group & pastoral Planning. If you have any suggestions, queries, worries or ideas for improvement in how we can involve parents of both Primary & Secondary, please get in touch.  You are welcome to email us at:
